Your data, untouched
Privacy Policy
Posture Sensei watches your posture on your device, and that's where it stays. No cloud uploads. No posture history servers. No account to sign into. The short version: we would have to try really hard to collect anything, and we didn't.
What we don't collect.
A real itemized list. Every line is something we could have taken and chose not to.
- Your camera feed or any video
- Posture scores, session history, or streaks
- Your location, IP, or device ID for tracking
- Your name, email, contacts, or calendar
- Advertising IDs or cross-app profiles
- Accounts, passwords, or sign-in credentials
1. Our approach
Posture Sensei is built to watch your posture without watching you. All posture tracking runs on your device using Apple's Vision framework. We don't record video. We don't upload frames. We don't store posture data anywhere outside your device.
If something about you could end up on the internet, you put it there yourself.
2. Camera data
Posture Sensei reads camera frames locally to detect the positions of your shoulders, head, and spine. Those frames are:
- Never saved to disk.
- Never transmitted over the network.
- Never shared with us or any third party.
The processed output — things like “leaning forward by 14 degrees” — drives the game in the moment and is not logged outside the current session.
You can revoke camera permission at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera.
3. AirPods motion data (optional)
If you grant permission, Posture Sensei reads head-orientation data from AirPods Pro or AirPods Max using Apple's CoreMotion framework, purely to improve tracking accuracy. This data is processed on-device and discarded after each reading. It is never transmitted off your device.
4. Purchase information
When you buy Posture Sensei on the App Store, Apple handles the transaction and sends us a receipt confirming your purchase. We do not see your payment card, billing address, or Apple ID. For Apple's handling of your purchase data, see Apple's Privacy Policy.
5. Crash reports and diagnostics
If your device is set to share app analytics with developers, Apple may send us anonymized crash logs and diagnostic reports through App Store Connect. These reports do not identify you personally. You can opt out at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
6. Third-party services
We use Apple's own frameworks (App Store, StoreKit, Vision, CoreMotion) to run Posture Sensei. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or social logins. If that ever changes, we'll update this page before the change takes effect.
7. Children's privacy
Posture Sensei is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The App Store's age rating applies.
8. Security
We keep the attack surface small on purpose. Because we don't collect your posture data, camera frames, or account credentials, there's no database of yours for anyone to breach. Your in-app state lives only on your own device, under standard Apple sandboxing and device protection.
9. Your rights
If you're in the EU, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with privacy laws, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. Since we hold almost none, most of these rights don't have much to act on — but you can contact us any time and we'll respond.
10. International users
Posture Sensei is available worldwide through the App Store. Anything we do receive — primarily App Store receipts from Apple — is processed in the United States.
11. Changes to this Policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we'll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the app where required.
12. Contact us
Privacy questions, requests, or complaints? Email hello@posturesensei.app and we'll respond as quickly as we can.
Privacy by default
No accounts. No uploads. Just posture.
Install from the App Store. Keep every update forever. Nothing leaves your device.
