1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Posture Sensei, a posture-correction app distributed through the Mac App Store and the iOS App Store by us (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using Posture Sensei, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not install or use the app. These Terms apply in addition to Apple's standard End User License Agreement, which governs every app purchased through the App Store.

2. Your license to use the app

Posture Sensei is licensed — not sold — to you for personal, non-commercial use on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

You agree not to:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the app or its contents except as expressly permitted by law.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except to the limited extent permitted by applicable law.
• Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices.
• Use the app to build or train a competing product.

3. Purchases and payments

Posture Sensei is a one-time purchase delivered through the App Store. Apple handles payment, billing, and receipts — we never see your card number or billing address.

Refund requests are handled by Apple under their refund policy. We do not sell subscriptions and do not store payment information.

4. Health and safety disclaimer

Posture Sensei is a posture-awareness and gaming app. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It is not a substitute for medical advice, physical therapy, ergonomic evaluation, or professional healthcare.

If you have back or neck pain, a prior injury, a musculoskeletal condition, or any medical concern, consult a qualified healthcare professional before using the app. Stop using Posture Sensei immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, eye strain, or worsening symptoms, and take regular breaks from any extended screen session.

5. Camera and device permissions

Posture Sensei requires access to your device's camera to detect posture. If you grant additional permissions — such as AirPods motion data — those are used on-device to improve tracking accuracy.

You can revoke any permission at any time in your device's Privacy & Security settings. For details on how we handle this data, see our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Posture Sensei for any unlawful purpose.
• Use the app in a way that could disable, damage, or impair it.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the app or its supporting systems.
• Enable the screen-lock feature in contexts where it could create a safety hazard — for example, while operating a vehicle, piloting aircraft, performing medical procedures, or running machinery.

7. Intellectual property

Posture Sensei — including its code, artwork, characters (the guardians and skeleton enemies), sounds, music, branding, and all other content — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you no rights to those assets other than the limited license in section 2.

8. Third-party services

Posture Sensei integrates with Apple services — the App Store, StoreKit, the Vision framework, and CoreMotion. Your use of those services is also governed by Apple's own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Warranty disclaimer

Posture Sensei is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy of posture tracking. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate in every session.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from or related to your use of Posture Sensei, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim relating to Posture Sensei will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Posture Sensei if you violate these Terms. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where required by law, notify you through the app. Your continued use of Posture Sensei after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, except where prohibited by applicable consumer law.
